At Doctors Inlet, Jacksonville, FL we worked with a local county/municipality to take clean white sand out of a storm water channel that had filled in. We set up 30 Y3 dumpsters next to the storm water retention area. We were able to fill the dumpsters with sand, displacing the water completely. With the dumpsters on a slight slope we estimated that when the sand started overflowing with the water there were 25 Y3 of pure sand in the dumpster. We used 3 dumpsters in a row, moving each time one was filled. It took 30 minutes to fill a dumpster with 25 Y3 of sand and move the discharge pipe. An excavator sat next to the dumpsters and loaded dump trucks continually. It was a very effective and most importantly: cost efficient process. The sand was clean enough to sell to golf courses.
